Finally Back Home

What a wonderful month of June (and first week of July) with our family and friends in Texas! Oh, we also got to make an unplanned visit in Colorado!

We weren't planning to stop in Colorado Springs this time back because we were just really ready to be home and see our oldest. However, that is not exactly how it worked out. Our van broke down just as we entered the south side of Colorado Springs.

Boy, did my heart panic! I started worrying about what all was wrong and how much was it going to cost! Some of my texting prayer buddies can attest to this because they received a text plea for prayer from me. However, I remembered God takes care of all things and all is in His Hands.

God provided us with the ability to reach some old friends of ours who live just outside of Colorado Springs. Usually, they would have been gone to a martial arts class, but that week they did not have it. God's Hand.

The break down did not occur in the middle of Nowhere, USA and not on Independence Day. God's Hand.

Our friend knew of a great mechanic shop for the repairs. The mechanic put our van ahead of   all others, since we were traveling. God's Hand.

The friends let us stay with them while the van was being repaired, thus saving money on a hotel. God's Hand.

Finally, we enjoyed our visit and fellowship with these friends immensely. We had not seen them in a year, and that visit was very brief. To have the time to really talk and catch up, even though it was because our van was being repaired, was such a blessing. God's Hand.

Our plans are not His. When will I ever really learn that?
