Haircut Conversations

Today was the day I designated to catch up on the boys' hair. They have been very shaggy but I have put it off repeatedly because I really dislike this chore, plus, I have not been feeling well for the past several weeks.

I started with Youngest Son first. As I put the cape around him to keep off the hair, he told me he was now Batman. Of course, as always with Youngest Son, the topics in conversation change often and randomly. As he saw all the hair coming off of him, Youngest Son told me he knew he had a thousand hairs on his head. And he had named every one of them, too. He then proceeded to tell me their names:
Bob, Harry, Harry, Bob, Bob, Harry, Luke, John, Harry, Bob....
He then asked me if I had noticed that some of those names were from the Bible. I assured him I had. Youngest Son then told me he knew what day he had been born. He rattled off the date. I told him I have been entertained ever since. He scampered off to take his shower to get all the "itchies" off of him.

Third Son was next. He was a little peeved because he had a disagreement with Kid Down The Street. It appears that Kid Down The Street thought it would be okay to call Third Son a "jerk". I asked him for the details of this disagreement as I cut away at his hair. He told me about it and also said Only Daughter suggested these two fight it out.  I promptly noted to myself to have a discussion with Only Daughter. Third Son said if he were to have fought it out, Kid Down The Street would have needed to watch out because he ate gluten at breakfast, and therefore, would be very mean.

Second Son was my final client. He filled me in with some more details about the disagreement that had taken place. Second Son clarified that Only Daughter had suggested the two throw balls at each other to get their frustrations out. Okay, that made me feel a little better about her problem-solving skills. He then said when that suggestion was ignored, she then offered they should fight it out, but just not hit each other in the face. Hmmm...still need to talk with Only Daughter.

As I am about to inspect their chores and rooms, I can only wonder what conversations are going to occur. :)
