IHOP National Pancake Day!

Today was National Pancake Day at IHOP! Did you go? We did! We have gone in years past but this year, it was exciting! It was not just about free pancakes.

Savannah was able to go with us! Our local IHOP restaurants donate the money they collect for Primary Children's in Salt Lake. That is the hospital where Savannah (and her mom) have practically lived for the past two years. We were excited to donate money to a hospital that has been so good in their care for the Ortiz family.

So why was this year so special?

This year is special because this coming Monday is Savannah's LAST CHEMO treatment!

Praise the Lord! God's hand in Savannah's life, and the lives of her entire family, have been just wonderful to see.

It was a wonderful treat to just get to go out and visit. Just last month, she was hospitalized again with a high fever. The waitress was great and seemed genuinely glad to see a little patient doing so well.

Our family is hoping to attend the little ceremony where Savannah will ring this bell the hospital has, letting the world know she is finished! If we get to go, I plan to take pictures and video, and will share those.   I have her Mommy's permission to post pictures, by the way. :)

Some of you have been a part of Savannah's journey. Some of you have faithfully prayed. Some have given your time to this family. Some have given money or needed items. Thank you, thank you.

If you ever need a spiritual pep talk...talk this mom. Piney has never wavered in her faith for the Lord. Even during some of the darkest times, Piney has never expressed anything but the utmost love for her Savior. She is an encouragement to new and old believers alike, because she gives ALL glory and honor to God.

As I write this, I just have to say, "Thank you, Lord!"
